Miley Cyrus gets Oscar invitation
Academy Awards telecast producer Gil Cates and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis have announced the presenters and performers for the Feb. 24 Oscars.
The presenters scheduled to date are Alan Arkin, Jennifer Hudson, Helen Mirren, Forest Whitaker, Amy Adams, Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett, Josh Brolin, Steve Carell, George Clooney, Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus, Patrick Dempsey, Cameron Diaz, Colin Farrell, Harrison Ford, Jennifer Garner, Tom Hanks, Anne Hathaway, Katherine Heigl, Jonah Hill, Dwayne Johnson, Nicole Kidman, James McAvoy, Queen Latifah, Seth Rogen, Martin Scorsese, Hilary Swank, John Travolta, Denzel Washington and Renee Zellweger.
Cates and Ganis also announced the performers of the nominated songs. Amy Adams will sing Happy Working Song from Enchanted. Also from Enchanted will be That’s How You Know, sung by Kristin Chenoweth and Marlon Saunders, and So Close, to be performed by Jon McLaughlin.
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova will perform their nominated song, Falling Slowly, from Once, and Jamia Simone Nash will perform Raise It Up, from August Rush, with the IMPACT Repertory Theatre of Harlem. (more…)
Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray admit they did the wrong thing.
“We got caught up in the moment of filming, and we made a mistake and forgot to buckle our seat belts,” Billy Ray Cyrus told People magazine about a moment in the hit movie “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour,” which generated a small bit of controversy earlier this week.

Moises Arias is an American actor. He was born on April 18, 1994 in New York City to Colombian parents. His career has included guest appearances on shows such as Sister Sister, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, One Missed Call and a recurring appearance as Rico on Hannah Montana, where he became a series regular in the show’s second season as a shop owner on the beach. As a regular on the Disney Channel, Arias participated on the first Disney Channel Games on the red team. He also participated in the second Disney Channel games on the Yellow Team (Comets). He has also appeared in music videos for Pearl Jam, Jonas Brothers (SOS), and Parmalee, and the movie Nacho Libre.
Moises has a brother, Mateo, who is also an actor and has featured as a guest star in Hannah Montana.

Emily Jordan Osment (born March 10, 1992 in Los Angeles, California) is an American teen actress, singer and songwriter. Following in her older brother’s footsteps she got a big break in the early 2000s when she co-starred as Gerti Giggles in the Spy Kids trilogy, and her performance in the second and third film earned her several nominations and awards.
