Is it finally time for an adult to step in and ground Miley Cyrus?  The star of the Disney series “Hannah Montana” is the biggest tween sensation in the world and earns millions of dollars every year.  But when it comes to acting out, she’s just like any other teenage girl - and her mom, Tish, has had enough!  She’s now put the brakes on her out of control daughter’s bad attitude, snotty comments and online flirting with boys and older men.

According to a report from this week’s Star Magazine, Tish grounded the 15-year-old Hannah Montana sensation in May - and has even forbidden her to use her computer!  “Miley is getting too big for her britches and had to be taken down a notch,” says a friend of the family spilled to the weekly entertainment magazine.  “And Tish is the only person capable of doing it!

Miley was involved in a huge scandal earlier when underwear pictures were posted online of the Disney starlet.  The racy photos scandal left the teen sensation’s image bruised and battered.  A link to all of the scandalous snaps is here and here (the links are safe).   

According to the report from Star, Tish and Miley got into a big fight, and Tish banned Miley from any non-work related activities and took her computer away.  That means no shopping, no sleepovers and no chat rooms!”  Tish, 41, is concerned over he daughter’s nonstop flirting on MySpace and other social networking sites, the friend explains.

“When Tish found out, she confronted Miley, who snapped, ‘Get off my back!’  She’s also been using inappropriate language, and Tish has had enough of that.  They’re churchgoing people, and Tish wants Miley to have respect for their religion.”

Like all teenagers, Miley Cyrus is starting to learn about choices and consequences. Like most teenage entertainers, she is also becoming wise to the ways of making choices that will produce the most favorable consequences.

Coming on the heels of l’affaire Vanity Fair, Cyrus’ new album, “Breakout,” finds the Disney Channel star returning to her factory setting of trying to please most of the people most of the time, without completely obscuring her own voice as a songwriter. (more…)
